Alta View Eye Care Center is a two physician ophthalmology practice with offices located at Alta View Hospital in Sandy, Utah.  Dr. Ramsey and Dr. Tempest provide a full range of medical and surgical eye care for all ages.  Through patient education and regular, comprehensive eye examinations, our doctors and staff can prevent and heal injuries, as well as detect and treat early signs/symptoms of various eye problems and diseases. Many potentially blinding conditions are treatable if caught early enough through routine scheduled exams.

    Your Alta View Eye Care specialist will perform the appropriate treatment and follow-up care after your complete evaluation.  Our physicians (Eye MDs) are also experienced in surgical and laser procedures for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, strabismus (crossed eyes), pterygium/pinguecula, and eyelid surgery as well as many other comprehensive ophthalmology procedures.  Our doctors also prescribe glasses and contact lenses, which can be ordered at the full service optical shop next door.

    Dr. Mathew Tempest is an experienced laser refractive surgeon who performs LASIK for near-sightedness, far-sightedness, and astigmatism.  If you would like to see better without glasses or contacts, please call for a laser refractive evaluation.

    Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm, except for Tuesdays when we run an evening clinic that is open until 7:00 pm.  Appointments may be made by calling 801.572.0631.
